Emerald
City Theatre, recognized for its fantastic
children's classes and
performances on Chicago's north side,
will be at the Rialto Square Theatre
this summer with theatre camps for
all ages. All of the camps will incorporate
the
elements
that have made Emerald City Theatre
School summer camp programs
a huge "sell out" success.
Students will use the tools of their
bodies, voices, and
creativity to explore communication,
ensemble building, and raise confidence.
Through customized, thematic theatre
games, as designated below, students
will have the opportunity to learn
more about themselves and fellow campers
in
a manner that encourages creative
exploration and active choices.

Is
your child looking to sample a little bit
of everything? Campers will get to dive into
singing, choreography, scene study, improv
games and much more! Explore a wide range
of theatrical disciplines in one of Emerald
City's most popular classes. On the last day,
you will get the chance to show off all of
your triple threat skills in a final performance.

"LAND
OF OZ" CAMP

We
are off to see the Wizard! This is a fantastic
opportunity for campers to travel to the magical
Land of Oz. Here we will explore lots of character
work, improv, and many Oz related theater
games, such as Wizard Wants a Corner, The
Wizard Says, and Who Am I? We will explore
sensory work, both physical and vocal, as
relates to the world of Oz. Campers will present
their own unique Oz games and exercises on
the last day of camp!

Disney's
"HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" CAMPS!

Spend
your summer working on the hottest musical
in the country! Students will get the opportunity
to learn songs, choreography, and scenes from
Disney Channel's hit movie, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.
Work with Emerald City's theatre professionals
on scene study, voice and diction, improvisation,
singing, and dancing for the full professional
experience. This camp will culminate on
the Rialto Square Theatre Stage in a showcase
performance of songs, scenes, and dances based
on Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL.

WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
Join the Tracy twins as they travel to
Egypt in hopes of solving "The Case
of the Missing King Pup." Along the
way, the twins meet Mummies doing
the Monster Mash, the Pharaoh Family,
and finally learn to "Walk Like an
Egyptian." Along with performing the
play, students will also learn about
this fascinating, ancient culture.
